An extinct volcano on the island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island), where visitors can drive up to the crater to look inside. The location also supports a fantastic of the city and the ocean on both sides of the island.

Rano Kau stretches 324 meters (1,063 feet) tall and is made out of basaltic lava flows. It is one of three volcanoes that form the foundation of Rapa Nui, along with Poike and Terevaka. The latest lava flows at Rano Kau are estimated to be less than 2,000 years old.
