About
England has its fair share of streets with peculiar names, such as Needless Alley in Birmingham. Sandwich is a historic town in Kent, England, known for its medieval architecture and charming streets. One that's as charming as any other is No Name Street.
Maybe the street is too short to even deserve a name, yet this is by far one of the most popular streets in the lovely town of Sandwich, which is just a short drive from the gorgeous city of Canterbury.
This quaint little street leads from Sandwich's central square, where its weekly market is held on Thursday mornings and its extremely attractive cattle market. The street is only a few steps away from the River Stour which is also worth a visit.
Taking its quirky name from the street it's set on, the No Name Shop offers a ground-floor delicatessen selling a fantastic selection of tempting French goodies, as well as the first-floor Le Bistro serving classic Gallic dishes, set in one of the oldest buildings in the heart of the historical village of Sandwich.
