About
Composed of hundred of petrified remains of an ancient forest covered by a volcano 20 million years ago. The Petrified Forest of Lesbos (or "Lesvos") is now a rocky landscape, designated as a Greek Natural Monument and a UNESCO Geopark. A related museum was established in 1994.
