The tidal marsh trail is a lovely hiking trail filled with many scenic views of the wooded area and marshes of the Quinnipiac River.

The trail is decorated with vines, winding trees, and paths through tall marsh grass. This is also the site of a forgotten railroad once called the Cedar Hill Rail Yard built in the 1920s. It was closed sometime after World War II when the New Haven railroads started to increase in volume.

The path today is complete with some remaining structures of buildings, terminals, and towers.

Know Before You Go
