The Light of Truth Ida B. Wells National Monument is a sculpture created by Richard Hunt to honor the life and times of Ida B. Wells, the teacher, journalist, anti-lynching crusader, and human rights activist. The 35-foot granite and bronze monument stands in Bronzeville, a Chicago neighborhood that was once known as the "Black Metropolis."
