About
The Doctor has landed right in the middle of Indiana. At Who North America, part ultra-nerdy retail space, part Dr. Who museum, visitors can explore some 60 years of the famed British show's history through rare merchandise and collectibles. It's not quite time travel, but there is a TARDIS.
Who North America was established by Whovian superfan Keith Bradbury, who began making then-rare Dr. Who paraphernalia available to the United States through the internet some 20 years ago. Since then, his collection of both modern and historical items related to the various Doctors has grown to fill the current police box–blue warehouse space.
With the larger building, Bradbury was able to create a space that was both a fulfilling shopping experience and an adventure for fans. The shelves are now stocked with Dr. Who items of every available type, from salt and pepper shakers to posters to comic books to toys. There are glass cases filled with little props and special memorabilia as well. And of course, there's a full-size TARDIS replica. There is even a special screening area where episodes and such are occasionally shown.
While the store and museum are free to enter and check out, you should try and pick up some merchandise as well. May we recommend a sonic screwdriver? You never know when you'll need one.
