About
When imagining a "Women's Federation Monument," a medieval castle-looking monument may not be the first thing that comes to mind. But the symbolism rings true.
Constructed brick by limestone brick, this rampart-inspired monument is more than the sum of its parts, which are many. The same could be said for the various women's groups who helped design, organize and build the Palisades Interstate Park in which it resides. So while the structure of the Women's Federation Monument may not seem immediately feminine, the way it's put together couldn't be more appropriate for honoring the many women who came together to build something strong and lasting.
