The town of Paducah, Kentucky, is home to the National Quilt Museum as well as the world’s largest quilting needle. This sculpture, created by artist Michael Terra, apparently stitching Lower Town’s art district to the rest of Paducah, underscores the heartland’s cultural ties to quilting and Paducah’s love for that art form.
The 22-foot stainless steel needle stands at the corner of North 5th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
