I've been a *big* fan of Atlas Obscura now for years. I love anything curious, unusual, thought-provoking, or otherwise... different. I'm the kind of person who will pull over by the side of the road to check out a cool abandoned building. The person who has shouted "Ooo an educational placard!" without irony or sarcasm. Maps, cartography, and geography might be my biggest areas of nerd-interest.
