Pat Cassels

Pat Cassels is an Emmy-winning TV writer, actor, and essayist. He worked at TBS’s Full Frontal with Samantha Bee for seven seasons, and was an original cast member and a writer at CollegeHumor (rebranded as Dropout in 2023). Pat is the former host of the improv series Hello, My Name Is, and had roles in Jake & Amir and Adam Ruins Everything on TruTV. Pat has contributed to The New Yorker, Los Angeles Review of Books, Slate, McSweeney’s, and the New York Times Book Review. In 2020 and 2022 he received the Writers’ Guild Award, and has been nominated for the Primetime Emmy six times, winning in 2017.
