Time Travel Mart
We are a convenience store for time travellers! We are also a non-profit organization called 826LA. 826LA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. 826LA offers free tutoring, writing workshops, in-school projects, field trips, and publishing opportunities to students ages 6 to 18.
We have two locations, one in Echo Park and the other in Mar Vista. We also have a satellite center at Manual Arts High School. The proceeds from the store help to keep all these programs free for students. 826LA is part of a national organization (826 National), started by Dave Eggers and Nínive (pronounced nin-eh-vay) Calegari in San Francisco.
