Go For a Virtual Swim in a Beautiful Finnish Pond
Who knew a humble puddle could be so pretty beneath the surface?
The pond is the most humble body of water: often vernal in nature, relatively small, and usually not somewhere you’d like to go swimming. This video will change that, as it is taken from the perspective of a snorkeler swimming through Kiikunlähde, a pond in Hollola, Finland.
Granted, Kiikunlähde is no ordinary pond: its waters are a crystalline, cerulean blue even viewed from land, but this video shows that it is even more beautiful in the hidden world beneath its surface.
You almost expect to come upon a mermaid or a Grindylow as the camera turns each corner; certainly neither would look out of place.
