About

Epitaphs are difficult to write. How can one distill life’s trials, triumphs, and meaning into a few words, to be set in stone of all things? Dr. Wade Andrews felt that his long, rich life could only be summed up by his wife's fudge recipe.

Andrews died in his home in 2000 and was buried in Logan City Cemetery. He was a missionary-turned-soldier, fighting in World War II before earning a doctorate in sociology. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Kay), who still lives in Utah. They had five children, 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; thanks to his gravestone, they can now and forever taste exactly what he did when they indulge in Wade's greatest joy.
