About
The Garden Route is a popular area in South Africa for those wanting to see wildlife. The 124-mile route through the Western Cape is lined with wildlife parks. But even in these parks, it's difficult to see most animals up close. The skull garden tries to help with that.
Located in the middle of the Garden Route Game Lodge, this garden offers a unique opportunity to come face-to-face with African wildlife. Animal skulls mounted on poles line a path through the garden. According to the lodge owner, the dried bones are collected from the field and brought back for display. The collection includes several species of antelope and large cats.
