About
In the middle of the Jamestown Village Shopping Center parking lot in Tustin, California sits a very tiny and very stubborn church. Despite the parking lot that sprung up around it, the eight-person-capacity place of worship has refused to budge. It continues to take up a parcel of land hardly bigger than one of the neighboring parking spaces.
Up until a few years ago, the church might have seemed even more stubborn because of the enormous oak tree which was growing through its roof. Surprisingly enough though, it was the oak tree that predated the tiny church rather than the other way around.
The oak tree has since died and was removed around the turn of the 21st century leaving the church standing by its lonesome.
Nowadays the church is virtually always locked and services only occur sporadically. However, the public is still welcome to stop in and marvel at the tiny church's diminutive charm and its sheer will to persevere in a very unlikely location.
