Before graduating from university, I had almost no travel experience. I knew I wanted to start, and I realized I could do it, so I made the bizarre and beautiful decision to visit every continent before turning 25 years old. It was a series of wild experiences, and when my goal was reached the journeys didn't stop. They still haven't. I'm 28 now, and I'm currently a park naturalist in my hometown of Lawrence, Kansas - but I'm also always planning the next adventure.
While there is a beauty to all environments and conditions, I have a very real fascination with ice and snow (despite being pulled into a crevasse on Aletsch Glacier in the Swiss Alps). Some of my favorite destinations include Iceland, Patagonia, and Antarctica. In 2017 I will be taking two big trips: In February I'm headed to New Zealand, then in August it's back to Iceland with a side trip over to Greenland.
And after that? Who knows. I'll come up with something.
